That's the biggest reason I like crossbred animals, especially since I don't implant. I just took 3 steers in on Sunday night, and they were right at 13 months old. All 3 were visibly fat around their tail head, between their hind legs, and along their briskets. They hung 774, 749, and 720. So if the hanging weight was 60% of their live weight, that means they weighed right around 1200. They were definitely finished. I butchered one last year at I think a week shy of his birthday and he weighed 1210.
