Whatever you do, make sure you have a water cutoff just to the tub faucet as in time you will need to fix it. Will save you from being without water for a day or so until parts get in.
Just finished going thru that this week.
We've got the walls torn off in our boys bathroom as we had a leak behind the wall Christmas morning and the floor was flooded. It's getting a new 3 or 5 piece tub enclosure.
