I would rip out the outside wall if not the rest and then insulate the heck out of it and cover it with Visqueen before covering it with sheet rock. You don't really have to mud the joints or nails. I hate cold bathrooms.lol.
You would be surprized how much stronger floors can be if they don't have bridging. A lot of older houses were never bridged.
