swmn/soin | There are a lot of wind towers here in s.w. Minn. Have had a representative trying to get me signed up for a potential wind project. They would pay right at $5000.00 per tower per year, or a one time payment of $500.00 per acre for the farm. I have not signed on yet. They wanted me to sign a 3 year option on my farm, which if they started the project in that three year period, could exercise it and then it would become a 30 year contract with no guarantee of any towers. They would pay approximately $15.00 per acre if no towers were built. Don`t feel comfortable committing to something open-ended like that. but thats just my take on it for now. | |
