Highland Center, in Southeast Iowa | You're right.........the little town of Oakville was pretty well destroyed in the '08 floods, and there was talk of moving the entire town. We did business with Tri-Oak years ago when we still had hogs......it started out as a basic small-town elevator with a feed service, and really grew itself into a major force with the influx of hog confinements over the past several years. But I'd better clear up a very common misconception that people from normal states have about Iowa geography. We're probably 100 miles from Wapello IA. The town of Wapello isn't in Wapello county, it's in Louisa county. I know, it makes no sense. That's beside the point if you're in Iowa. There are probably more than a dozen towns that are not in the county with the same name: Des Moines, Cedar, Fremont just to name a very few.
