Western CO | I had mine done two years ago -- wore glasses since I was 5 and had basically 20/400 vision with astigmatism. It's been the greatest thing for me, I love it. My left eye is corrected for better near vision and my right for far. At about 20-50 feet it doesn't make much difference. It's amazing to me how fast your brain compensates and only takes the image from the best eye. I haven't had to use reading glasses yet -- can see better close up than I could before the surgery, but I understand I will probably have to in the future. I'll take that trade off to wearing glasses all the time. The thickness of your cornea will determine whether or not you are a candidate, I have a friend that can't have it done because his cornea's are too thin. I was 46 when I had mine. | |
