North End I-15 | if you are west bound . Very early morning if east bound . Like some one said , a lay over in Whitefish is good . Or East Glacier , West Glacier , Whitefish . Best bet is Whitefish and rent a car . One can drive the loop hi way 2 , north to east side Chalets and back over Going to the Sun in one long summer day . We often take visitors up for day excursions . it's 90 miles from door to East Glacier . Hi ways are fair . Tour buses (The Red Coaches ) @ East Glacier . Short walk to the lodge from station . Shuttles available to lodge . Golf course out the door of lodge @ East G.
