Subject: RE: rail passengers

NW Washington
The Amtrak Cascades that runs form Vancouver BC to Eugene Oregon via Seattle and Portland OR is not a bad ride. It sure beats suffering the I 5 parking lot through Seattle and all the towns 60 miles north and south. Reading a book or sipping a beer beats bumper to bumper jams or road rages and the tracks are on the edge of Puget Sound for a good part of the way. The engines are US, but the passenger cars are made in Spain. I guess we they can get it figured out in the USA. The Eurostar train we rode in Italy was nice, and better than any I have ridden in this country.
