Kansas | Took the train from Topeka to Chicago and back a few years ago. Yeah it took 14hrs instead of 2 if I flew, but it was still something I'd always wanted to do and I might do it again. One suggestion is to bring along a small cooler and bring your own food and drinks as they are fairly overpriced on the train and the food is about as good as getting it out of the freezer at the grocery store. Only problem with Amtrak in KS is you get on/off in either direction really early morning. I think they are really missing the boat not offering a Denver to KC run. | |
