Faunsdale, AL | As long as there isn’t some sort or warranty that’s going to be void because you were late/after 22,500 miles getting that fluid change done, I would say you’re good. I agree, unless the owners manual says something like flush trans and change fluid/filter every 22,500 miles, normally the maintenance intervals are listed as due at specific accumulated mileage points.
First I have heard of that sort of thing. Seems like 20 years ago, everyone wanted to sell a transmission flush. Then I saw a lot of “experts” saying under no circumstances do a flush on an old transmission. Just change fluid and strainer, clean out pan and go.
GM must know something about that transmission/application that they’re trying to prevent happening. Good luck!
