I went through the same problem last year om my zd321. According ro messicks corn head grease isn't recommended due to the fact that it's a high speed gear box. I looked in rebuilding my box but the parts were more than a reman gearbox, also there was no core on it. Kubota recommends revealing the gearbox at the start of every year. Talk about a maintenance hog. I wish they would have made it a divorced setup instead of the center blade being direct drive. So I spent $1200 on the mower.
