WCIN
Just put 25 head out for a few days while it’s nice but there is not much growth yet probably another week or two.
This is 60 ac of stalks divided into roughly thirds rye was sown the end of October. Been doing this for years with no ill effects, they will eat plenty of stalks with the rye plus any ears they missed in the fall.

Stalks on the left were grazed in the fall with rye already planted, 40 lbs to the ac
Stalks just to right of the poly wire no cows have been on, I’ll either give them that before May or bale i,t 80 lbs
The tallest greenest rye to the far right I baled stalks off and drilled 80 lbs I’ll make balage there
