I like to fence the adjacent cornstalk field in with the rye so they can have their pick. These are pairs that have been fed pretty good for 6 weeks while calving. I've given hi-mag minearal before for a couple weeks before turning out to rye. Probably is a good practice to do. After a couple weeks I fence the stalks off and get ready to start row crop farming those. Graze out the rye until the 20 something of May.
