| Here we feed Hi-Mag mineral prior to turning in to help with grass tetany. That may or may not affect you.
We like them fed full of hay or roughage before we first turn them in and then graze them only about 1 hr for a time and then build that time as a week progresses.
We rarely turn heavy breds in for long periods at a time to begin and when we do, we limit graze them. I also highly encourage limited access and rotation so as to have them graze the area completely and not pick and choose the grazing areas. | |
