We use 7 day CIDR protocol, have had pretty good luck. Details matter, and the more you do it the more you get good at hitting the detail right. If you’re serious about doing some cows, you should be able to get 60%+ routinely. I have looked at several other protocols but so far none have posted better results than the old reliable 7 day unless you add heat detection. Do you do your ai or hire an arm?

ETA:Don’t pull the calves except for the time you need to put cows through the chute. It’s unnecessary stress.
