I've had MGA protocol work well on heifers but mix results with lactating cows. I would guess it's due to the fact that the calves are also eating the supplement so the cows don't end up getting enough MGA for the protocol to work properly. Also MGA is only "Labeled" for use in heifers not lactating cows. Every AI company as list of AI sych protocols to choose from
