NWMO | Sucks to say, but unless you get everyone to collectively say no then there’s nothing going to stop them. The politicians have money wrapped up in the pipelines and businesses that will benefit from them.
The science isn’t settled on whether these pipelines will make any measurable difference on CO2 levels worldwide and whether they’ll benefit the taxpayers paying for them. It’s about like a hundreds of wind turbines in my county. I haven’t seen $1 of relief on my power bill since they’ve been erected, so what’s the point?
I believe the old saying is, “pissin in your britches to keep yourself warm.” Seems like a great idea today, but turns into resentment and frustration tomorrow | |
