If I was in your boat, I'd do what you are except id sell the 3 heifers and then I'd sell the 7 heifers, and then id analyze the situation after that. Probably buying 10 broken mouth cows if you just felt like you had to buy something. Maybe even sell a cow or two of you get the itch to.
