NW IA | I have a 1359 Massey badged Heston with steel rolls and I was amazed at how much better dry-down was compared to the 488 NH it replaced, but I won't argue with your results with the Deere rubber rolls since I think modern rubber roll machines look to be better than the NH I bought new in the 90's.
I am very impressed with the effect on drying we've gotten from our Krone rotary rake, and will offer that advice, although it can be a budget issue.
Grass at 50 percent will mean more than any other factor, or at least it would here.
