Southwest Michigan | I am putting in a bigger hay field this year, we put up mostly dry hay(small squares and rounds). I am looking for a alfalfa that has a good dry down, we have lots of humidity here, and is always a struggle for good dry down. I don’t care if it is a top yielder, I just need dry hay.
Plan to plant 50% alfalfa 50% grass, probably later orchard grass and timothy? Mostly all fussy horse customers.
