Any advantage to one rotation vs the other or is it just so they’re pointing the right way for the landing strip when it’s time to gather?

Well, I go along with the coriolis effect—-so, I’m a ccw guy——most of the time.

Years ago, operating out of McBride—and grazing lower slopes of mt Robson———-took me 2 yrs—but I conceded and switched to all CW bulls—-

Because all the neighbors did.

Community pastures—-my cattle going one way at gather, theirs the opposite—-what a wreck!

And lots of Aussie style circular sorting setups——every damn gate was backwards for me!
