NWMO | I can’t answer that question per se, but I have family on the other side of the river from me that own farm ground in Nebraska and are paying over $70/ac in property taxes. On the Missouri side? $8/ac. Relatively speaking to this situation, I’d say Nebraska’s tax burden is pretty high when they have the same soil 1 mile away and pay 9x the tax….
But, there’s not even 2M people in Nebraska vs 6M in Missouri, so they have to make up revenue somewhere I suppose | |
