$155 probably won't cover most of mine. I guess I have not figured it real close. If one ran a new combine on most of my ground it would take over $50 an acre just for depreciation.
The type of ground one farms makes a big difference.
I put over 250 hours on the combine last year to harvest around 900 acres. Half corn and half beans. If I can cover 8 acres a tractor hour planting with a 16 row I am doing good. Trucking can easily eat up $60 an acre.
Last year a combine like mine would bring around $150,000. I saw one the other day for $50,000. That right there is $110 an acre. Hopefully depreciation will slow now.....
Just the dirt work last year was over $50 an acre. I hired some done last year so it was higher , but normally $25 plus.
The gravel bill runs about $3 an acre.
Heck, it seems the wrecker bill is $3 an acre! LOL
All that small stuff adds up.
As far as the irrigation cost, I bet the Nebraska guy has to pump 2x the water from 2x as deep.
