The point im trying to make is if you can grow 240 bu corn on $600 of inputs or grow 220 bu of corn on $500 of inputs, which one is more profitable? The last bu you grow is always the most expensive and the 1st bu you raise is always the cheapest. Somewhere between only buying a few seeds per ac and what randy dowdy inputs are there's a sweet spot. If pivot bio proved anything it's that most farmers are over applying N.
