I've seen areas of a field do around 12.5 but that was a perfect year for that particular piece of ground.        That was prior to doing variable rate planting and we probably left some yield on the table that year in areas of that particular field.

I like the 7-10 rule for making prescriptions.   I'm usually shooting for the bottom end of that range (7-8) vs yield history.     

That leaves a lot of cushion for an above APH type of year.
