Not much experience with Aluminum toxicity, would need to read into it, but I think your aluminum is high. From just a little looking, it appears that if you can get you pH above 6 you won’t have much of a problem with it. But you might want to error on the high side as it looks like a real yield killer.


Any idea on the threshold for high Al? Any way to bring that down, or just raise pH to minimize the effects? This has been mentioned to me before, and we are working on adding lime to get pH up. These being new fields for us, this is what we have to work with "today". Any idea how Al gets so high, or is it just a soil type/area problem?
