| Agreed, but some areas are tied up with Fish and Wildlife easements and drainage isn't an option. Hell, burning sloughs isn't allowed, but it gets done anyway to keep them in check from getting bigger and bigger. So, doing tillage is about the only option we have. As far as tying no-till programs through NRCS/SWCD, I agree that it should be pursued, but when there's so many (even some of these full blown regen hippies) that make tiling or drainage of any kind out to be some boogie man with polluted water and other water problems, not gonna happen. | |
