CENTRAL ILLINIOS | There is a wind farm going in near here. One of the farmers that signed up was quoted in the paper saying he will be getting $50000.00 per turbine per year. He is getting two on his 320 acre farm and he said that as things stand right now, he will be getting more from the wind power than he gets in cash rent. They are supposed to be bigger turbines than the others in this area that I have heard were paying about $18000.00 per year.
Like others on here I would be worried about who is going to take them down when the time comes and also about inflation. | |
