| I’m south of the border and haven’t kept track of the exchange rate. That being said, you can’t get a 1/2 mile of fence put up for less then 6-$7000 here. Just had this conversation with a guy about custom trenching. He just couldn’t charge $X.xx/ft to his customers because he couldn’t afford it on his place. I told him it costs him money every time he leaves the yard or starts a piece of equipment. Charge accordingly or you won’t be in business long. There’s a reason you don’t see brand new fences on every place or miles of pipeline. Do not turn a side hustle into a hobby, your time is worth something and so is your equipment. One thing guys often forget is to put a rock clause in the contract, one bad rock project where you drill every hole vs pounding posts will put your business upside down in a hurry.
