PROSPECT, TENNESSEE
I sure do appreciate your testimonial! I started the process a week or so ago with Cochlear America. I have hit a roadblock already! They tell me wearing Beltone aids doesn't qualify me for the implant. They want me to wear their brand since they consider Beltone aids "Wal-Mart" quality! Just as Resound, Starkey, and one other did their competitors. Everyone has the best; all others are junk!
I'm back on the search for another clinic. I simply refuse to invest in more hearing aids, I have been convinced by 3 company's there all about the same. The person programming them is the only difference!
As far as cost, I'm only 49, on private insurance. This will be a very expensive process for me. If insurance approves, I will still be out a bunch of money.

Again, I appreciate your input, and just wonder if they pushed aids on you before the implant?
