G'day from own under in the middle of Winter!

Troubles with a printer at our church office.  Big old style Toshiba, control panel screen just went blank.  [Toshiba eStudio 3550c  = old!]

Thought our problem could be overcome by bringing in a slightly less old Toshiba that was phased out of another place I have contact with - an Historical Society. That one was a Toshiba eStudio 3540c.

Of course the computer driver does not co-operate!

The Toshiba's are so old that the drivers are no longer available. The Win 7 computer in the office does not help either

Reckon the whole lot might get chucked!

Talked to retailer - who suggested we look at 'Eco-tank' printers.  [?? Somewhere between ink jet and laser technology ??]

Anybody got any comments on makes, models, that you are familiar with?

The usual NAT help would be greatly appreciated.    And a bit of pressure! I go to a city where I can see a wide range in 14 hrs! [Currently nearly 7.00 am in Chicago time zone, nearly 10.00 pm here in east coast Aussy land.]
