Yes, the original couplers are rebuildable. Re186601 and RE 186599 will repair the coupler. RE186600 replaces the seals in the housing where they slide in. It takes a bit of knowledge to get them apart and back together correctly without loosing the little balls, but it’s not that hard. If you’ve messed with hydraulic seals before, it’s fairly easy. I applaud JD for making these parts available and not just replace the whole thing. The steel parts seldom go bad, and it makes no sense to replace the whole coupler just for a few polymer seals. I guess that’s the current way in our world of “green manufacturing”.
