Never had to replace anything on a hydraulic coupler on tractors back in the seventies or 80s.Yeh they could make those things to last forever.They did back then.Make them to fail now.

You aren't comparing apples to apples. The couplers then picked a tool up and down. Now the hydraulic system is under constant pressure doing so many functions. I had to replace 4 on my 7720 jd. I plant with this tractor with a vacuum/vrd corn planter and an 1890 air seeder. My little tractor and pump are under constant pressure. I'm surprised we don't have more issues. I had deere replace mine, simply because I expected to have issues even with oem. I did. They came back and did everything again on their dime. Haven't had any issues for over a year now.
