Here is a video showing the seal replacement on a 8400. Doesn't look hard to do but if you are paying a mechanic I can see why they just replace the whole coupler - probably cheaper especially if it would happen to fail again right away and customer wants it done second time for free. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ghQqvZdeybk
