Can't tell you what the previous operator did with it. We didn't have the P.O.S. 6 months before sending it down the road. In the early 80s you could've bought a 90 series case, a 40 series deere, or you could still buy an AC that didn't even have live power, which they tried to make up for with that stupid lever.

Although it wasn't worth a damn for anything except stationary PTO work (and it didn't even have a decent road speed to move between farms), maybe we were so used to the Case powershifts that came out in the 60s NOT requiring a complete stops, even to go forward to reverse, and staying in gear like they're supposed to, that we were just too dumb to be happy with this 10 year newer AC having an antiquated transmission.
