n. Illinois | 1st credit card was a sears card with a 500 limit. They solicited graduating college seniors betting we would have good paying jobs and it was a good bet for them.
Didn't use C. Cards until it was costing over $50 to fill up the family vehicle and it no longer made sense to keep pulling money at the ATM when the credit card folks would send me a bill once a month with the total gas purchases and then I only had to write one check to clear them off and they also gave me credit against the bill for 1-2% (I no longer remember) for using it. So I was getting paid to use them to pay my bill. Have yet in 40+ years to ever pay a penny in interest on any credit card and I am earning in excess of a $1000 per year using them to pay my bills. | |
