If you are 70 years old and only 10 pounds overweight I would not worry much about your sugar problem.
Try to slow down and eat less sweet stuff, like one donut instead of 3 or 4.
Remember, moderation in all things.
You donut suggestion reminded me of my 20 year quit cold turkey cure for craving donuts. This happened 50 years ago fresh out of HS. I was living on my own in Sioux City doing my own cooking. One night after work I was starving so went to a donut store and ordered one dozen dozens. I were woofed them all done one after another until they were all gone. Then they started to expand :-(. I know it was at least 20 years before I could even think about eating another donut. To this day whenever I pickup a donut I think of that moment, but never eat over two at the most :-). |
