EC Nebraska
Depends on the amount of water you can pump. We are setup at 800gpm take roughly 4 days to make a circle on a clear quarter otherwise you have to swing one way than back the other. With electric wells you can get controlled by the power company during the heat of the day, just depends on the plan you sign up on. They can control for up to 12 hours a day so takes a bit of time to make a circle if only pumping for 12. We run water sensors in the root zone to monitor availability of water for the plant, can really tell where the roots are by watching the readings. Trying a new sensor this year that will measure the soil moisture and sensor that is attached to the corn stalks and measures stress to the plant. Yesterday was a hard day on the corn, 95+ and up 40mph wind took the sap out of things.
