Subject: Crop Conditions - Disappointing

We recently traveled from northern Illinois to Lake of the Ozarks. I did not see a green yard during the entire trip. The beans are small and the corn is nothing like it has been the past few years. Many fields of corn were rolling leaves. Unless substantial rain begins to fall, these crops are in trouble. This is as rough as I have seen this stretch for this early in the growing season. These rainfall maps that Allen Metow and other post on Twitter and other platforms frequently give misleading information. They change daily, and in my opinion, cannot be trusted. The 8-14 day forecast for a large portion of the corn belt shows hotter than normal temps. Without rainfall, bushels will come off quickly.

My back-yard-itis shows crops that were planted in wet conditions and then the sprinkler was turned off. We are hanging on, but it isn't pretty. What are others seeing?
