You probably damaged the parts when you tried to install them.

The damage was caused from a forklift fork, I didn’t have one within 3 miles of it. So, I’m gonna say you’re wrong.

Have a friend who took her car to a transmission shop for a transmission swap. The shop does good work, nothing fancy but he’s been working on them forever. He doesn’t have a forklift so he requested the new transmission be delivered by a truck with a lift gate. The new transmission shows up and the transmission guy notices somebody had run a fork through the crate and upon further inspection the transmission had a noticeable crack in it that lined up with the crate damage. So he refused to take it off the truck. He called the place that he got the transmission from and they blamed the transmission guy for the damage. Sent pictures of the crate and the damage which was obvious it was a fork that caused the damage. Transmission guy said it was impossible that it was caused by him. He finally reminded the guy that sent him the transmission that he had requested a truck with a lift gate because he didn’t have a forklift. That changed the tune of the conversation real quick and finally came down to admitting the damage was done when the crate was put on the truck and an employee knew it and sent it anyway. Luckily the transmission guy saw the damage before it came off the truck or he’d have been on the hook for it.
