Long story-short. Got new parts from dealer. Installed the parts. After installing, parts were found to have been damaged, and aren’t operational. I suggested since I’ve already made a trip to pick them up, and provided the labor to install their junk parts, that they should deliver and install the parts the second time. Is this unreasonable? They “Don’t have time,” according to the parts manager to do any of this. Time is infinite isn’t it? I was told I should have verified all parts were good before I installed them. Apparently buying new parts, from a OEM dealer is now “buyer beware”. Expect junk? Rant over.

IF it was damaged by the freight company, do we think that,
A- the dealer will return the damaged part to wherever it came from, or B- the dealer will expect the freight company to come BACK, and pick it up, all on shipping company’s nickel?

You already stated above that the answer was C because you couldn't see the damage.

Your said "The damage was hidden by the protective covering, that was provided with the part." Do you expect the dealer to be the Amazing Kreskin and know what happened if you can't see the damage?

Just be glad you didn't pay the dealer to install the bad part. Just get another replacement and install. You said it could be done in the dark so it can't be difficult. Sorry your had a bad day.
