Subject: RE: Mowing down phone junction boxes

Southeast Washington
Here they are green appeal. They are located every few hundred feet along the county road. That is the largest for us put in the early 90's. Before that my neighbors were all on an above ground party line so we were happy too finally use an answering machine and not have to tell the operator our phone number every time we made a long distance call. We had dial up in early internet days but too far out for DSL so it is either satellite or in my case I'm the furthest but have a line if sight to the broadband tower 9 miles away above town. Now with internet calling no need for the noisy landline when it rains.
