Here they were abandoned as the lines were no good. After a few years I see some poor soul digging, cutting slashing his way to get to one.
He told me his company bought the lines and were going to use them. I think he spent the next year within a mile of my farm with his head in those boxes.
We still have landlines at my house but service never was interrupted.
