I thought the internet ran thru phone lines
It did in 1995.
And it still does in 2022...... the DSL receiver is in my front yard and hundreds of people get crazy fast internet around here through old copper wire. My entire house still today has phone jacks in every room so you can have internet anywhere. We have 3 smart TV's and 2 kids with tablets with no issues on the old copper lines.
