I thought the internet ran thru phone lines
It did in 1995.
I got upgraded to 50 Mbps dsl on the phone line that was replaced in 1997 with the same spec that was originally run in the 1950s about 2 years ago. This summer they're running fiber to all the local houses. I'm excited to be able to get internet from somebody other than CenturyLink.
