Iowa | I think you would be fine going from 250 to 275 HP. Heck, there are probably plenty of 250 HP rated engines already doing 275 HP. Why? Some mechanics get pretty generous on the fuel settings adjustments and the air/fuel ratio adjustments on mechanical engines. The major problem "Automatic",that I am aware of,is the Allison Model AT545. It's a low hp tranny(175-190 HP). It shouldn't be in your truck at 250 HP. | |
