Subject: mower deck (tips, tricks, and hints needed)

Central IL
I have a craftsman lawn mower, this is its 3rd season(I know first problem is "craftsman") I've always had trouble getting a perfect cut. Seems like I always have 2 faint strips that don't get cut as good as the rest. The strips seem to be on both sides of the center blade. I tried adjustments of all kinds tonight and can't make it as good as
I want it. I took the deck off tonight and tomorrow I'm going to reinstall and adjust it from scratch. Any tricks, tips, or hints anyone can offer? I've always heard that the front of the deck needs to be lower than the back, how much lower? Also, anything I can do to keep grass from sticking to the underside of the deck? and prevent it from rusting? I've heard that spray on bedliner works, but never talked to anyone that has done it. and if it does work, does the stuff you can do yourself work, or the pro stuff, like rhino or line-x? Thanks for everything!! Look forward to all the responses.
