| I have run a Deere my whole life, I will say that the seed cell disk is not ideal for perfect seed spacing in corn, but the new flat seed discs fixed that problem. I just really like the V shape of the closing wheels. Something really scares me when in wet conditions to put a wide tire track over top of my seed trench. If I would get a red one that would be the first thing to replace, but otherwise I know they have a pretty strong seed spacing system. Also with a Deere you need to make sure that you have plenty of hydraulic power, we have a 8330 on our 24 row center fill and we don't really have any problems with raising/ lowering the planter quickly. But I would still go with Deere, personally. | |
