Subject: RE: DOT Number and IFTA sticker

Ford County, IL
as for the ag exemptions for the USDOT number, there are not very many. Went to a meeting the other day and was told that farmers are losing most of the exemptions. during the first 18 months of having you USDOT number, you will get audited. You must pass 14 of 16 categories or you lose your dot number. I know that anymore in order to get a CDL License, you need your medical card in hand, and a certain amount of classroom hours and driving hours in order to obtain a CDL. just some info that i found. Also reading about crossing state lines, Yes you lose your exemptions if you cross the state line or travel farther than 150 mile radius from your main operation.
