Dalton, OH | Since I rent a lot of my ground and I have some of the best and worst ground around my soil tests vary a lot. That's partly why I foliar feed. It seems to make things a little more consistent from farm to farm. You say you are cutting at 28-30 days. This year anywhere I did that I couldn't get over 135 RFV. This year I cut at 24-25 days on 2nd, 3rd and 4th cutting if the weather permits. It seems like with the quick regrowth of the newer alfalfas they get to bud stage a lot quicker. I cut when it's in bud stage.
